Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said on Monday that if the Senate’s current U.S. “border security” legislation, which includes far more money for Israel and Ukraine than America, doesn’t pass, that “we could be fighting in eastern Europe, in a NATO ally in a few years.”
The Democrat leader apparently thinks if he doesn’t get the legislation he wants, American troops will be in Ukraine or nearby points fighting Russia.

Schumer: Sign My Bill or American Goes to War With Russia
The pro-war senator told MSNBC that Ukraine’s war against Russia is “our” war that we will “lose” if struggling American taxpayers don’t fork over $60 billion: “This bill is crucial, and history will look back on it and say, ‘did America fail itself?’”
Schumer said this bill is “crucial” because “if we don’t aid Ukraine, Putin will walk all over Ukraine, we will lose the war, and we could be fighting in eastern Europe in a NATO ally in a few years, Americans won’t like that.”
He then pivoted to the other major section of the bill, nearly $20 billion for Israel and aid to Gaza. In other words, American taxpayers are paying for Israeli bombs that create Palestinian refugees, who then become dependents of Uncle Sam.
This, he thinks, is supposed to be a major selling point of the bill.
“If we don’t help Israel defend itself against Hamas, that perpetual war will go on and on and on. If we don’t help humanitarian aid to the starving Palestinians in Gaza, hundreds of thousands could starve.”
Schumer wasn’t done with his talking points. Next, he used the Democrats’ latest meme that the only reason anyone could possibly oppose the bill is because of… Donald Trump?
Schumer said that “too many Republicans, including Speaker Johnson, are just scared to death of Donald Trump. Donald Trump has said he wants chaos. Donald Trump has said, ‘Well wait until I become president,’ that’ll take at least a year. Ukraine could be gone.”
“The border will get much worse,” he added. “War in the Middle East will get worse.”

Schumer’s Threats
In response to Schumer’s seeming threats that American soldiers might serve in the Ukraine-Russia conflict if the bill isn’t passed, Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna shared a post on X, declaring, “In honor of Chuck Schumer, I’ll be introducing a bill that will require any politician who advocates for sending American troops to Ukraine to be required to fight on the front lines with them.”
There’s no reports of Schumer brushing up on his military skills, but his bill’s likelihood of surviving – for all the right reasons – remains very much in doubt.
