Representative Clay Higgins (R-LA) claims that FBI agents pursued Trump supporters relentlessly following the events of January 6th, even placing them on a domestic terror watchlist.

Higgins’ revelations surfaced in an interview with investigative journalist Lara Logan for her ‘Truth in Media‘ series.

Logan has been posting videos documenting pieces of the January 6th protest at the Capitol to provide better overall context to the events that took place.

Higgins, who has confronted FBI Director Christopher Wray on multiple occasions over the bureau’s role in the riot, was her most recent guest.

Perhaps the most captivating of Higgins’ claims involves Trump supporters allegedly being placed on a terror watchlist.

The Louisiana lawmaker suggested that a letter sent from Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) to DHS was the catalyst for “an executive action by the TSA to use its authority to instruct America’s air marshals to track and follow Trump supporters that have been charged with no crime.”

“They were guilty only of arriving by air into DC on January 4th, 5th or 6th, and those manifests were turned over to the FBI,” he continued. “The FBI went through those manifests and every American that they identified … as a Trump supporter that was on those manifests was added to the FBI’s suspected domestic terrorist watchlist.”

Clay Higgins brought his investigative skills from the streets of Louisiana where he was a cop for years to the halls of congress, where he’s been investigating January 6th ever since it happened.

Higgins Says He’s Going To Take Down FBI Agents Who Went After Trump Supporters

Rep. Higgins told Logan that the efforts by the TSA and air marshals to track the movements of Trump supporters are “still happening” today, and he vowed to go after the FBI agents involved in making it happen.

“I’m going to fight legally and peacefully and within the parameters of the constitution that I’ve sworn to serve. But they’re going down,” insisted Higgins.

“These men and their high perch and their position of power and authority that are walking upon our entire history, our deepest core principles,” he continued. “They’re not going to get away with it.”

Logan captured the sentiments of an immeasurable amount of conservative Americans skeptical of the idea that those in positions of power who have prosecuted and jailed so many Trump supporters following January 6th would be held accountable.

“They have so far,” she said of those FBI officials who Higgins suggests won’t get away with it.

The Republican congressman simply replied, “We’ll see.”

Logan Tells The Political Insider That J6 Committee Likely Covered Up Ray Epps’ Role

The Political Insider spoke with Logan very briefly following the third installment of Truth In Media’s The Rest of the Story with Lara Logan last month.

That report took a closer look at January 6th provocateur Ray Epps.

Epps, the former leader of the “Oath Keepers” chapter in Arizona, was indicted nearly three years after J6. He was seen in multiple videos encouraging the crowd to go into the Capitol, presumably helping to incite pro-Trump protesters to riot and breach the building.

In September he pleaded guilty to one count of disorderly conduct on restricted grounds, a misdemeanor which has resulted in an average jail sentence for those convicted of just 55 days.

Logan’s documentary series on the events of January 6th revealed new video in which Epps takes particular interest in Anthime Gionet, also known as right-wing influencer “Baked Alaska.”

Gionet was sentenced to two months in prison for his participation in the riot at the Capitol.

In the shocking video Epps whispers to Gionet, “We’re here to storm the Capitol,” then adds, “I’m not kidding.”

Logan tells The Political Insider that she does not believe Epps is a federal agent, but that he “probably” cut a beneficial plea deal as a means to throw the public off on any accusations that he may have been one of the paid informants.

Further, she suggested that the Select Committee investigating the events at the Capitol helped muddy the waters of his involvement.

“Do you think the J6 Committee is involved in the cover-up as to what role Epps had on that day?” we asked.

Logan replied, “Yes.”

“Ray is a thread that probably leads to a much more significant place and more powerful people,” she claimed. “It is possible he is working for someone else, but it is impossible to know for sure. I have no definitive proof of anything.”

Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) blasted Attorney General Merrick Garland over the “wonderfully coincidental” misdemeanor charges brought against Epps despite being captured on film as an instigator.

“Yesterday you indicted him. Isn’t that a wonderful coincidence?” Massie chastised Garland at a hearing in September. “On a misdemeanor.”

“Meanwhile, you are sending grandmas to prison, you’re putting away people for 20 years for merely filming,” he continued.

Higgins, meanwhile, has been on a relentless pursuit of the truth as to what role the FBI played on January 6th.

He has claimed that there may have been “over 200” undercover FBI agents posing as supporters of Donald Trump inside the Capitol before the riot on January 6th, 2021.

“The FBI was not only involved in the actions on January 6 from within, they had, I suspect, over 200 agents embedded within the crowd, including agents or as they would call, human assets inside the Capitol dressed as Trump supporters before the doors were opened,” he told Newsmax.

It has been well-established that the FBI had informants embedded with groups prior to the event that would lead to hundreds of people being jailed for their actions that day.

Additionally, the Political Insider reported in September on a former assistant director at the FBI testifying that the bureau lost track of the number of paid informants that they had infiltrating the crowd of protesters.

FBI Director Wray has repeatedly denied that the bureau’s assets may have instigated events to some degree on January 6th, but has refused to say if they had any informants in the crowd at the Capitol.

FBI director Chris Wray blasts question from Rep Clay Higgins (R-LA) just now: “If you’re asking whether the violence at the Capitol on January 6 was part of some operation orchestrated by FBI sources and/or agents… the answer is an emphatic no!” pic.twitter.com/7ikAf3Suj5

— Scott MacFarlane (@MacFarlaneNews) November 15, 2023

Steven Sund, the chief of the Capitol Police at the time of the January 6th riot, has suggested that the FBI had at least 18 undercover agents in the crowd along with an estimated 20 from the Department of Homeland Security.

Higgins claims of “over 200” being involved is a significant increase from any documented evidence.

🚨BREAKING: In never-before-aired footage from Tucker Carlson’s interview with Steven Sund, the former Chief of the Capitol Hill Police, says J6 was “crawling with feds.”

Sund details that there were 18 FBI undercover agents, plus an additional 20 agents from DHS.

— Charlie Kirk (@charliekirk11) August 4, 2023

“When you track the text threads and the communications within those groups and find the origins of suggestions of potential violence or an active occupation of the Capitol on January 6, you’ll find that those messages were led by members of the groups that ended up to be the FBI agents that had infiltrated the group,” Higgins said in the Newsmax interview.

“So the FBI’s involvement was deep, not just on J6, but on the days and weeks and months prior,” he added.

The question is, will he and his GOP colleagues take action to hold any alleged instigators accountable?
