OCEANSIDE, Calif. — Over 2,000 San Diego Gas & Electric customers woke up without power Sunday morning due to an outage in North County.
The earliest outage was reported around 6:48 a.m. in Oceanside, San Luis Rey and Ocean Hills. In an update at 7:30 a.m., over 2,180 customers were still without power in these areas, according to SDGE’s outage map.
In an update at 8:25 a.m., SDGE reported only 182 customers were still without lights. The estimated restoration time was listed as 10 a.m. For real-time updates, check SDGE’s regional power outage map.
Though a cause for the outage has not been confirmed, an atmospheric river is bringing widespread rainfall to much of San Diego County.
