SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — Want to cast your ballot early? Additional vote centers will open Saturday ahead of the March 5 presidential primary.
Last Saturday, 39 vote centers officially opened across San Diego County. However, this Saturday, more than 200 vote centers will be available to voters from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. until the final day of voting on Tuesday, the County of San Diego said on its website. On Tuesday, hours for all vote centers and official ballot drop boxes will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Vote centers provide the ability to: vote in-person or drop off a mail-in ballot; vote using an accessible ballot marking device; receive assistance and voting materials in multiple languages; and register to vote or update your voter registration and vote on the same day.
When you arrive to the vote center, registered voters should: head to a touch screen to make their selections on a ballot marking device; print out the official ballot; review it; place it in the secrecy sleeve; and give it to a poll worker to insert in the ballot box.
If you want to vote from home, the county advises to: sign and date your return envelope; seal your completed ballot inside; return it as soon as possible by mail; ensure mail ballots are postmarked on or before March 5 and received by the Registrar’s office by March 12.
All vote center locations can be found at sdvote.com.
Those who want to become a registered voter can do so at any vote center in time for the March 5 presidential primary.
